On December 3rd 2016 the Southwest Academy of Kyokushinkai Karate Dojo had a successful promotion conducted by Hanshi Gregory Johnson. Bryan Mauthe Shodan, was promoted to Nidan. Bryan's family members and students of the Dojo showed up to offer support to this very popular Black Belt. Bryan completed all of the Nidan syllabus requirments and a 30 man kumite. Bryan trained hard during 2016 to ready himself for the Nidan promotion, and all the hard work showed during the day.

Bryan Mauthe Sensei supports Hanshi Johnson and assists with the teaching during the weekly classes.

Many congratulations Bryan. Osu!

On Saturday November 19th 2016, Noel Cain 4th Dan Renshi, was tested by Greg Johnson Hanshi at the Southwest Academy of Kyokushinkai Karate Dojo. After an intense few hours Noel Cain Renshi successfully passed her promotion and was graded Godan - 5th Dan Renshi.

Noel Cain Renshi is Johnson Hanshi's longest serving student and highest ranked. A dedicated martial artist, who works tirelessly to encourage everyone at the dojo. Cain Renshi has extensive training, teaching skills, outstanding achievments and dedication to her martial art and the Southwest Academy of Kyokushinkai Karate.

Noel Cain Renshi instructs regularly at the Southwest Academy of Kyokushinkai Karate on Fridays 6:45 and 7.45 pm and Saturdays 11:00am to Noon and Noon to 1:00pm.

On May 30th 2015 the Southwest Academy of Kyokushinkai Karate played host to some very knowledgeable and high ranking Sensei who there there for the promotion and testing of Sensei Brandon Cook 4th Dan. After an intense few hours Sensei Cook successfully passed his promotion and was graded Godan - 5th Dan Renshi.

Brian Radaszewski & Bryan Mauthe image

In December 2014 the Southwest Academy of Kyokushinkai Karate increased its black belt students by two. After a successful grading conducted by Hanshi Gregory Johnson at the dojo, Brian Radaszewski and Bryan Mauthe were promoted to Shodan.

On the evening of July 11th 2014, Sensei Noel Cain was promoted to Renshi by Hanshi Gregory T. Johnson and the board of directors of the National Martial Arts Association. Renshi Cain said of her prmotion; "I am truly humbled and honored by my Instructor and Hanshi by bestowing on me the title of Renshi-Sensei. OSU! And thank you."

Renshi Cain has been a long time student of Hanshi Johnson, a very dedicated martial artist, who continually puts others before herself. Renshi Cain has extensive training, teaching skills, outstanding achievments and dedication to her martial art and the Southwest Academy of Kyokushinkai Karate.
